YI-KANG HU
FOR TIGARD MAYOR
Steady Leadership.
Listening First.
Moving Tigard Forward Together.
MEET YI

Yi-Kang Hu and his husband, Abram, have lived in Tigard for more than 20 years. They were first drawn here because it was close to work, but they stayed because of the friendly neighbors, walkable trails, parks, and the way people step up to help each other.
During a period of significant change and transition for the city, Yi stepped into Tigard’s mayoral role focused on bringing steadiness, rebuilding trust, and keeping city government centered on the people it serves. You will often find him at neighborhood events, community celebrations, and city meetings. He believes leadership starts with showing up, listening first, engaging respectfully with different perspectives, and solving problems in a practical way.
Yi brings local experience, professional judgment, and a deep commitment to helping Tigard remain welcoming, well run, and focused on the people who call it home.
